 Street Cred
 by Stock-Master G

Cee-Dee-O, Cee-eM-O, Credit default Swap,

They ain’t no investments thay’s my bro’s on the block

Cee-eL-O, Ay-Bee-eS, thay’s out chillin' in the hood,

Collateralizing what SIV’s they got, while the gettin was good.

Lehman, Bear, Merrill thay’s pretty much dead,

Dey lost what my homeboyz stiiii-ll gots…….

A little (pause) street cred.

It’s bloody out there, street littered with death

Investment accounts screwed up on new accounting meth

Main street is reelin' but the bell never rang

To warn of the Qualts and Quants, those nasty Street gangs (“whisper”…Wall Street Gangs)

You thought you was scared of the Bloods and the Crips,

You ain’t seen nuttin’ like those mighty Wall Street rips.

The Lehmans, The Merrills, The Bears oh my

The Wizard of Oz couldn't make that s__t fly

Dems products was nuttin but pies-in-di-sguise,

All covered in flies, fabricatized, ain't nothin but lies.

Dey's all pointin fingers wantin someone to blame,

But you KNOW Homey wa-din't even playin' THAT game....

Loans by Countrywide, Northern Rock, H-B-S-C, Chase and Citi

Were Sup-Prime and Alt-A to credit un-worthy, not P.Diddy

Is anyone listenin, will anyone hang?

For whom the bell tolls, that no-cred Wall Street Gang.

The Fannie, The Freddie made loans sexitized

Un-bundled un-dressed and un-amoritzed.

Too sexy for the catwalk of financial regulation

Derivatives on derivatives with no value station.

Bankers party and disco, Milan and Japan

Investors lose shirts, Too Sexy to withstand

Wachovia, Wa-Mu, Fannie-Freddie all bled

It ain't quite the same as my boy Right Said Fred,

When he did that little catwalk turn he sure turned heads....

Cuz he stiii-ll had all of his (pause) Street Cred.

The Goldmans, The Morgans, The Barclays near dead,

No mo sugar plums dancin in thay's brainy heads,

All of 'em slam-dunked way down in da tank,

Ain't none of 'em now (use higher voice to finish line) what u call it, Investment Banks?

Dey sewed 'em, dey rode 'em, dey put 'em ta bed,

Dey backed 'em, re-wrapped 'em, made money dey said,

Dey sold 'em, dey wrote 'em, insured 'em dey pled

Dey blew that one thing dey needed....

A little (pause) street cred.

Yeah, Street Cred…. Like Stock-Master G, Street Cred Baby.

(whistle out to the bars of "And the Twilights Last Gleaming)
