Stimulus was such a wonderful and precious opportunity to target a near $1 trillion package to stem the economic tide by focusing expressly on supporting business, creating initiatives and developing jobs through sensible industrial projects - and strategic business development. A one-time shot. An opportunity blown by a bunch of incompetent liberals.
Instead Madame Liar, Liar of the House Nancy Pelosi, whiffed, she struck out in the bottom of the ninth, with the bases loaded -- she committed a championship game-seven-losing error -- by spearheading the stimulus package draft containing hundreds of senseless liberal pet projects that had been collecting dust and which were shelved, for good reason. Madame Liar Pelosi's incompetence, arrogance and gross misuse of public funds was a royal mishandling of America's future at a critical moment when leadership, intellect and pinpoint focus was required.
Fond of calling the prior administration 'stupid', Liar of the House Pelosi has set new high watermarks for idiocy. Her face, now permanently impaled upon the new American Flag of Incompetence.
Madame Liar squandered the chance of a lifetime to be a leader - looked a gift horse in the mouth - and screwed the American public out of a legitimate shot to bolster the struggling economy - instead of sponsoring intelligent and economically useful projects like off-shore (and ANWR) drilling, that would have the dual positive effect of creating great well-paying long-term jobs, and simultaneously paving a manageable pathway for the 30 year transition to alternate energy, through the ongoing development of our nation's natural resources - not to mention an important third benefit, increased national security through less dependency on foreign sources.
Stimulus? The sleazy partisan group of thugs at ACORN gets your money for the 2010 Census. That is not only wasteful, it is abhorrant and offensive. Then there are countless earmarks that do not create long-term jobs like building new steam rooms in the fitness center at Laughlin Air Force Base. Perhaps of greater import, funds are set aside to make sure there is now protection for the Red-Bellied Harvest Mouse!
Now Americans carry an additional $787 billion in newly created LIBERAL HUBRIS debt, exactly the strategy that has put California, New York, New Jersey and other Liberal states underwater. See a pattern here?
Obama is responsible for dishing off the important job of crafting stimulus to the irresponsible and ill-equipped Liar of the House Pelosi, and while the Obama/Pelosi stimulus is failing, Obama is quickly heaving a brand new medicine ball and several other anvils onto business, consumers and the economy with - higher taxes, higher energy costs and a massive expansion of government through healthcare reform and scAmeriCorps.
Lost is the wisdom of Thomas Jefferson who said: - 'A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government."
The $787 billion would have been better spent as a VC fund to start up hundreds of new businesses, which would all require significant immediate hiring and speedily pump those dollars around to all related vendor purchases that come with newly formed business - after all, the economic boom so many credited to Clinton was really caused by an explosion of venture capital funding to technology, bioscience, and other leading edge business sectors.
In other words, wealth creation - through capital formation and highly incentivized business development -- something which appears to be in direct contradiction to the radical philosophical vision of our celebrity president. LIBERAL HUBRISM is undermining Jefferson's America.
Obama's American transition from "the business of America is business" to "a nation of community organizers" is well underway - it is a philosophy that subverts all the basic principles and incentives that made our country the greatest leader of liberty and innovation throughout the world.
